The technical project manager (TPM) acts as a coordinator and facilitator between the engineering, business and product teams. The TPM partners with the business and product teams to translate requirements into actionable epics and user/technical stories, identify engineering limitations and opportunities and coordinate engineering releases. The role develops and applies Project Management processes in the execution of projects within the Connected Solutions Business and Wally product.

Job Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Translate product requirements into user/technical Stories and Epics in JIRA
  • Identify and communicate limitations and opportunities of current systems and features to the product team
  • Foster an efficient development team by managing the assignment, progress and completion of developer sprint work
  • Coordinate engineering releases and communicate the timing and features of each release to product owners
  • Assist in identifying and coordinating dependencies across engineering teams (Firmware, Cloud, etc.)
  • Ensure testing is completed for each feature by QA and that proper test reporting is delivered to the engineering teams
  • Provides direction to associate team members to assist in managing cross functional teams as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Level Degree
  • 5 to 10 years related professional experience
  • Previous experience in a software or technology company
  • High proficiency in leveraging Confluence and JIRA software tools in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple cross-functional projects and priorities in a team setting
  • Ability to identify and communicate engineering limitations and capabilities to product owners
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and execute engineering releases
  • Ability to periodically work flexible schedules based on business needs
  • Frequent sitting, some standing and walking and bending and reaching as necessary

Preferred Skills
  • Scrum training, certifications or expertise
  • Experience and knowledge of IoT platforms, products and/or services
