Utilizes comprehensive & well-rounded retail design background to support all of the development & maintenance of the sales floor, stockroom, and office layouts within all formats of SHC. Due to the complexity of the business the recommended tenure for this position is 18 months.

Job Requirements

•Interprets format fixture criteria used to create a fixture floor plan that meets the business needs & supports the corporate merchandising strategies.
•Analyzes store performance data to create sales floor layouts that best support store sales, maximize productivity of space, and enhance the customer experience.
•Develops creative solutions to improve overall productivity and project execution.
•Maintains accuracy in all file information including dimensions, designs, icons, layer structures, etc in accordance with company standards.
•Supports Store Planning Team through coordination of workload with other planners to ensure timely completion of all projects.
•Produces bill of materials for the purchase and installation of fixtures and equipment.
•Keeps appropriate individuals advised of current status and critical issues including coordination with consultants, architects, engineers, architectural designers and other internal teams to ensure customers needs are met.
•Participates in special projects, plan reviews, new concept development and field requests that are applicable to the assigned business area.
•Routinely visits a variety of competitors to identify “best practices” that can be incorporated into our presentation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Bachelors degree in engineering, architecture, or design, or equivalent.
•Minimum of 2 years fixtures, merchandising layout, store design or equivalent experience.
•Proficiency in PC and Certified in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) system use required.
•Knowledge of fixture and merchandise layout practices and procedures.
•Strong attention to detail and sound analytical skills.
•Strong presentation and communication skills.
