JOB SUMMARY:

The Sr Mgr, National Sales Training is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of best-in-class training solutions to drive operational excellence for the Home Improvement sales organization. The Sr Mgr, National Sales Training is responsible for assessing overall company needs, evaluating metrics, reviewing training materials, and observing national activities to identify learning solutions that will meet business needs. The Sr Mgr, National Sales Training will lead and direct the strategy and performance of Regional Strategic Sales Training Managers, Field Implementation Managers and Instructional Designers to ensure that training resources are maintained, updated, and implemented to the national sales organization.

Job Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Owns the entire Sales Selling process training to include Soft Skills, Credit Knowledge, Field Sales Trainer coaching, Sales Delivery steps, Product knowledge
• Diagnoses the Sales organization critical skills and capability needs and develops continuous improvement strategies to meet business objectives
• Monitors performance of key sales metrics (Net Close Rate, Self Gen Sales, Dollar Per Appointment etc) for new hires and incumbents to ensure skills developed during training are sustained in practice (ensures return on investment), and identifies and develops follow-up training needs based on this performance
• Leads the development and execution of training curriculum for new hire sales associates and incumbents
• Provides critical support for deployment of new business strategies, product changes, and programs that are deployed to the sales organization and identifies and assigns team members to underperforming/understaffed district offices to drive immediate improvement in results
• Understands and applies learning trends, technologies, best practices and new developments that will enable rapid adoption of key behaviors required to drive improvements in sales performance while communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to identify world class solutions to relevant business challenges
• Provides national leadership and champions deployment of new business strategies, product changes, and programs that are deployed to the entire sales organization
• Builds trusted relationships with leaders across the organization and serves as the National Leader for the sales training organization by developing engagement strategies with all sales leadership teams to drive seamless adoption of new learning processes and objectives across the entire sales organization
• Develops various learning delivery models to engage our sales learners and to continually improve effectiveness of training and development programs and uses technology to enhance and optimize the learning opportunity
• Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree
• Over 10 years of related experience
• Up to 25% travel
• 18 years of age or older (except some locations which may allow for 16 and 17 year olds)
