The Smart Home Services Consultant is responsible for enhancing the experience for members and driving profitable sales by achieving sales targets in revenue, margin, and solutions within the Connected Home ecosystem and Home Services product offerings. This associate must be able to build quality relationships with retail consumers, while providing them with relevant and memorable product demonstrations through engaging and effective storytelling. This person is good at taking complex technology and making it simple for clients to understand and see unique value to help simplify their home and lifestyle.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Takes ownership for enhancing the Member experience in the store and at every opportunity around the Connected Home Experience and/or home services needs. Provides the highest degree of Member service by making the Member the first priority. Demonstrates the right behaviors in the selling process and takes ownership for identifying needs, doing product demonstrations and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Greets any Members in a professional and engaging manner demonstrating a Member First experience around the Connected Home Experience; engaging in storytelling on how Home Services makes your life easy and simple, and supporting local execution of SYW related initiatives.
• Achieves sales goals and drives sales by utilizing Member First selling practices and product knowledge to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions for Connected Home Experience ; this can include suggesting installation options, other Home solutions such as Home Improvement, (Take the Lead), parts, repair, and answering questions about merchandise.
• Versed in the benefits of the Connected Home Experience, Home Services (Repair, Parts, Home Improvement), Shop Your Way, credit and leasing and protection plans and informs Members about the benefit of these programs. Stays current and understands the implications of upcoming events, sales and promotions, product updates, selling process requirements, and Company/business initiatives.
• Proactively leverages technology in order to facilitate the customer experience and provide customer solutions.
• Responsible for keeping the department ready all day and ensuring the sales floor is easy to shop, in stock, clean, signed and organized for Members.
• Maintains a Members First attitude by regularly checking the sales floor for opportunities to make it ready and visually appealing for Members throughout the day.
• Looks at the floor through the eyes of a Member and takes the lead to maximize all displays, presentation of merchandise and ensuring all products are demonstrable.
• Versed in the benefits of the Connected Home Experience, Home Services (Repair, Parts, Home Improvement), Shop Your Way, credit and leasing and protection plans and informs Members about the benefit of these programs. Stays current and understands the implications of upcoming events, sales and promotions, product updates, selling process requirements, and Company/business initiatives.
• Is knowledgeable/utilizes Web to Store and Store to Home and other integrated retail processes as methods to enhance the Member's shopping experience.
• Completes Member transactions accurately and efficiently at the point-of-sale when added assistance is need at checkout for Home connected products.
• Assists store leadership, where appropriate, in resolving or facilitating the resolution of Member issues. Shares with leadership insights from member interactions and feedback to understand what is working and not working to create a better Members First sales floor.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
• Basic reading, arithmetic, and writing and oral communication skills
• Working while standing for long periods of time
• Lifting and holding bulky and large-sized merchandise, up to 50 lbs.
• Reaching, stretching, grabbing, pushing, lifting, holding, twisting, bending, turning, walking, shifting, and engaging in other physical movements required by the job
• Associates under the age of 18 -- prohibited from using freight elevators, ladders, compactors, balers, or hazardous or similar equipment, or performing backroom functions
• Basic Internet navigation skills
