The Program Manager develops and applies Project Management processes in the execution of projects. This position works as the primary contact with stakeholders on new project requests. This position works with stakeholders to estimate and schedule project work based on delivery requested dates, resource capacity and scope. This position provides regular project status updates including revisions to schedules, resource allocation, risks and delivery dates to project teams as well as management.

Job Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Partners with stakeholders to establish a documented road map for program goals and targeted implementation time frames
• Ensures program sponsors and stakeholders are kept appraised of project status
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of program
• Facilitates, tracks and monitor programs, activities and roadmaps
• Ensures that all project-related tasks have been performed
• Helps to mentor junior project managers
• Works closely with practice leads and/or managers to ensure a high level of quality
• Manages large projects spanning cross-functional teams
• Ensures program documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately
• Forecasts upcoming program needs providing recommendations around staffing.
• Leads post-program lessons learned sessions to improve process and performance.

Job Requirements:
• 8 to 10 years related professional experience.
• Must be able to work closely with business partners and other stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
• Must have a strong knowledge of the digital landscape and a working knowledge of consumer shopping experience online
• Ability to lead cross functional teams to deliver high quality work consistently and on time
• Must be detail oriented and have strong program management and time management skills
• Ability to contribute to strategic planning initiatives and assist in providing structure to teams as they think big picture
• Excellent communication skills – in person, written and presentation
• Self-motivated with positive attitude
• Proficiency in industry standard project management software such as Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Occasional evening and weekend overtime
• Occasional in person meeting attendance in Hoffman Estates

Preferred Skills:

• Superior proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and MS Project
