This position will be heavily involved in utilizing analytics to create and deploy new email communications. Candidates must understand how data inputs drive campaign content, email marketing & strategy and will be responsible for end to end email campaign development. Responsible for the development of long term relationship with assigned business units to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in the production of email marketing.

Job Requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Use analytics to build and optimize trigger email strategy and look for new and different ways to implement customer reactive strategies in order to provide relevance based on customer behavior
•Takes receipt of content that meets allocation requirements across all BU advertising vehicles from BU marketing planning
•Develop and implement trigger/transactional email campaigns for both Sears & Kmart and associated brands within Sears Holdings
•Work with multiple internal business units (including engineering, IT and marketing) to develop campaign strategy and design business requirements for email program execution
•Work with creative development team to provide direction on campaign design & detail coding instructions for dynamic content
•Manage flow of creative process including procurement, testing and timely execution. Sets agendas, documents change, reviews/approves campaign targeting, manages discussion flow and realizes continuing positive outcome.
•Manages all production process deadlines and enforces delinquency penalties.
•Represent the company within the legal guidelines of CAN-SPAM and be able to distinguish between transactional, relationship and promotional messages and allowed formatting of messages
•Prepare presentations for Senior leadership on the success of email marketing for their specific division
•Coordinate campaign execution between internal team and agency to ensure deliverables are met and campaigns are monitored
•Identify improvements to production processes and tools that can be institutionalized across the Direct marketing organization.
•Develops business unit-specific insights through an understanding of BU objectives.

EXPERIENCE
•4-year BA or BS degree
•A minimum of 3 years of experience in major retail operations, plus one or more of the following industry verticals: retail, travel and hospitality, business-to-business technology, consumer services or consumer packaged goods.
•Ability to develop and execute effective acquisition strategies for both online and offline areas
•Current knowledge around email marketing best practices and industry best practices especially CAN-SPAM compliance and a working knowledge the legal rules
•Working knowledge of API Calls, XML, FTP, SFTP, HTML Post & Batch file processing and common methods for transmitting information between Sears and third party vendors
•Prior role in email/online marketing with a working knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends
•Experience working with customer segmentation and experience incorporating customization and personalization into direct marketing.
