The Office Assistant is responsible for handling clerical duties assigned by the management team and providing administrative support.

Job Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Answers and transfers calls
• Greets site applicants and visitors
• Gathers statistical data, prepares reports and maintains records and spreadsheets
• Updates files, sends faxes, makes copies, and processes mail
• Transfers and delivers documents between departments
• Processes forms and completes tasks as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills:
• Skilled at providing a variety of clerical support duties using designated systems, processes and procedures
• Ability to read, speak and write English language proficiently to communicate with customers, Manager and co-workers, comprehend and follow instructions and make entries on reports and records
• Ability to use fingers and hands continually on computer equipment and telephone as it relates to business function
• Frequent sitting, some standing and walking, bending and reaching as necessary
• Proficient skill in using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic math skills, including counting, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Basic customer, communication and phone skills
• Leadership skills
• Ability to continuously wear a telephone headset
• Ability to lift 11-20 lbs. on a regular basis, to push or pull carts to move supplies from one location to another, and to move office furniture to set up meeting rooms for various events or training
• Frequent documentation by handwriting Preferred Skills:
• Experience providing clerical support in a professional, corporate environment
