The responsibility of the Director, Member Lifestyles is to manage the end-to-end experience for members lifestyle groups with an objective to grow sales and margin. The Director, Member Lifestyles will work with Business Units and Formats (Sears and Kmart) to develop meaningful and lasting business opportunities for specific member lifestyles utilizing the capabilities of SHC and Shop Your Way, Member Analytics, partnerships and other vehicles. The position is responsible for managing both the strategic and tactical execution of member led marketing and merchandising programs and driving their integration throughout the company.

• Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly member engagement plans for member lifestyles based on insights, competitive analysis, financial data, and creative strategies. The outcomes will be relevant programs, merchandising, services, communications.

• Develop lifestyle penetration strategies, value propositions, and utilize additional assets to drive market share, increase share of wallet, and incremental sales for these members.

• Deliver concise findings and recommendations that integrate data from different domains to provide a holistic view of the member and the marketplace. Provide effective strategies to leverage 1:1 capabilities (SHC, SYW, Analytics, 3rd party, etc.), deliver incremental sales and margin.

• Must connect relevant experiences across businesses, platforms, services, and partners to deliver value to the member where it is needed -- while facilitating the sharing of best practices across their respective businesses and member cohorts.

• Assist Businesses in developing and maintaining strong relationships internally and externally with partners and vendors. The goal is to establish unique sales driving opportunities to SHC, identify opportunities for incremental external funding, and offer additional communication vehicles.


• BA or BBA required; MBA a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant marketing experience in loyalty or agency.

• Highly collaborative team player who is focused, self-motivated, detail oriented and flexible - able to adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines.
• Project management skills, including the ability to deliver actionable insights in a timely cost-effective manner.
• Consulting skills, including the ability to define the needs of internal clients and link outcomes to objectives.
• Quantitative reasoning skills, including the ability to assimilate extensive amounts of detailed data and to see the big picture, providing actionable, influential recommendations.
• Experience managing budgets and running a vertical P&L.
