The Financial Services organization caters to over 30 million Sears card members as well as providing a menu of other financial products to meet the unique needs of Sears Holdings’ customers. These products include Leasing, Layaway and Gift Cards.

Financial Services is seeking a talented and dynamic individual to lead the Layaway program who has the ability to drive sales and profitably both inside and out of the traditional Sears formats. The ideal candidate would be forward thinking, profit oriented, creative, and analytical. In addition, they must have the ability to earn and command respect at all levels and have a proven record of managing and positively impacting a P&L.

As a vital member of the Financial Services organization, the Director of Layaway will leverage various sources of information about the Layaway customer to identify opportunities for growth and profitability. They will then work cross-functionally with business units, store operations, marketing and legal to execute the plan and ensure overall coordination of supporting activities.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own and be the face of the Layaway program
  • Create annual goals and execute well thought out ongoing short mid and long term plans to grow the layaway program
  • Actively monitor progress on plans and make adjustments based on results
  • Eagerly participate in opportunities to promote the program with field teams, business units etc.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Store Operations to plan and execute flawlessly strategies and tactics
  • Seek feedback from various sources (including associates, program participants ,non participants etc.) to help identify ways to improve the program
  • Partner with stakeholders within the company to expand and promote the use of Layaway
  • Develop ways to externalize the program
  • Perform needed ongoing tasks (help tickets, Pebble etc.)


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to understand and impact a P&L
  • Creative and analytical thinker/planner
  • Proven ability to create and execute plans
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Inquisitive, eager to gather feedback
  • Proven Retail Experience
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (comfortable speaking to small and large groups at all levels)
  • Fluent in Excel, Power Point and other Windows applications
  • Bachelors in Business
