The Shop Your Way (SYW) team is looking for a passionate Community Manager (CM) to join its newly-formed and quickly-growing team. The Community Manager will leverage experience building and engaging with passionate user communities across various channels by curating site content, maintaining a continuous pulse on community sentiment, and reacting to consumer feedback. He/she will create and grow rich SYW communities around topics that are important and relevant to our members, while organically promoting SYW partners, and products. He/she will have a demonstrated track record of success as a creative, strategic, and analytical leader, and in growing consumer advocacy for a brand or portfolio of brands.

The Community Manager will be responsible for driving platform-related conversation through the appropriate consumer channels and serve as the liaison between SYW platform and member communities. He/she will collaborate closely with our app and web product teams to ensure alignment and consistency when driving community engagement.

Job Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Moderates community dialogue and promotes positive conversations by maintaining a two-way dialogue across engaged platform users
• Anticipates future consumer needs and creates excitement for upcoming events and programs
• Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team across product, design, digital channels, and marketing to drive significant growth in key customer metrics within key community verticals
• Works with SYW product team to manage functional improvements to the community platform
• Oversees and brings thought leadership to the ideation and use of content within the community network (including, but not limited to blog posts, articles, and social media)
• Supports marketing programs to drive audience acquisition, engagement, and virility across the SYW platform
• Closely collaborates with member service teams to build close, transparent relationships with our most engaged users, manage user feedback, and share community insights
• Works with analytics to report on community growth metrics
• Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

Job Requirements:
• Experience building communities within the context of social media and/or community management programs at a brand, agency, or publication
• Experience writing editorial content for a retail consumer brand preferred
• Proficiency and expertise in social marketing strategy with strong working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, etc
• Knack for good storytelling and conversational writing
• Ability to write in various styles for diverse audiences
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Passion for evolving content ideas based on new customer or business insights
• Creative mind, with an ability to generate big ideas
• Natural problem solver with a can-do, positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with a wide range of internal departments
• Able to create high-quality, in-the-moment content
• Adaptable by nature and comfortable working under pressure
• Growth-hacking mindset and strong experience working in a small team environment that has driven breakthrough customer/business results.

Preferred Skills:
• BA, preferably in Creative Writing, English or Journalism
