The Business Development Manager is a business development professional focused on identifying emerging opportunities, establishing critical business partnerships, building key leadership relationships, and driving the SHS business through Business Development activities. The potential growth targets include; Property Management Companies, OEMs, TPAs, Card issuers, service platforms, and lead aggregators. This position is responsible for establishing and leveraging high-level relationships with key decision makers to drive new business for Sears Home Services. This position works closely with account managers to transition new partners from a state of acquisition to business partner (client).

Job Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Achieves and maintains acceptable sales performance goals
• Maintains a consistent opportunity pipeline in excess of $20M with books $5M in new signed contracts per year
• Develops new business target list, strategy and tactics for new account acquisition, conduct meetings, presentations, site visits, produces quotes and closes product sales to new business in a specific geographic sales area
• Customarily and regularly identifies and initiates contact with key buying influences within target accounts to develop long-term business relationships and produce quotes and quality orders
• Generates new account acquisition, relationship selling offsite, and engages in the selling process with the customer
• Plans, organizes, and presents customer solutions to meet customer's needs
• Manages complex sales opportunities with customers having a regional or national footprint
• Negotiates contracts and product/service agreements consistently in excess of $500k
• Navigates and interacts with senior-level executives of large, matrix organizations
• Executes sales strategies across a cross-functional team to gain maximum results from customer relationships
• Defines customer single sales objectives quickly and create new opportunities, develops them, and transitions to the account management team once executed.
• Leverages peer group and support resources to achieve financial objectives.
• Develops loyal customers and maintains high-level relationships
• Maintains knowledge of local trends, understands how Sears Home Services product portfolio can be successfully positioned within the market which presenting new products and buying solutions to the customer
• Writes sales contracts for customers
• Manages travel and other customer-related expenses
• Required to mentor at least one assigned Business Development Manager
• Delivers training on a sales related topic to peers at least two times per year
