The Business Analyst have strong financial, strategic, operational and leadership skills, and is required to work through ambiguity. The Business Analyst will collaborate with departments across the organization to develop insights based on data. This will include coordinating with finance and marketing groups in operational business units to identify and prioritize business problems and opportunities and develop robust business hypotheses and analyses. The candidate will prepare recommendations for financial business cases and presentations for senior management. We are looking for individuals who foster teamwork and work well in a collaborative, unstructured and fast paced team environment. Responsibilities include statistical trend analysis, creating and updating financial and performance metrics; analyzing and providing recommendations on operational metrics such as resource capacity, quality management and performance dashboards. Work on special projects as assigned to support optimization of operational drivers. It is expected that the Analyst will work with their Director to act as a thought partner with business partners throughout the organization to better understand how digital operations business analytics can improve performance and to lead or collaborate on the initiatives that may result.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

() Identify, size and prioritize business opportunities for improvement through analytics
() Partner with operating business units and holdings company to understand, prioritize and execute business needs and provide necessary support
() Leading trend analysis efforts on financials, quality and other operational measures
() Gather data, apply rigorous analysis methods, and synthesize conclusions into recommendations for business partners
() Execute concise and actionable business reporting with actionable insights
() Develop, maintain and enhance statistical models to help generate profitable incremental sales through marketing strategies and tactics
() Prepare documentation for developed analysis support for business strategies
() Work on ad hoc requests and projects for senior management and business units
() Prepares business case for new initiatives and/or capital investments, including business modelers
() Flexible in responding to organizational changes and business priorities
() Leads special projects where needed

Job Requirements

Education Experience: Bachelor's Level Degree
Years of Related Experience: 1-2 Years
() Partner with operating business units and holdings company to understand, prioritize and execute business needs and provide necessary support
() Must enjoy gathering and digging deep into data to identify issues and solve problems
() Strong problem-solving skills
() Strong business acumen: Strong financial, strategic, operational and leadership skills; ability to grasp understanding of business models and key drivers quickly
() Experience of navigating large organizations and executing/delivering in a matrix structure
() Experience driving actions through data and insights
() Self-starter who can work independently through ambiguity
() Ability to manage and lead complex analytical projects including demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate detailed quantitative data
() Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet tight deadlines
() Leading trend analysis efforts on financials, quality and other operational measures
() High level of experience with MS Word, e-mail, MS applications and working knowledge of standardized desktop technology tools in addition to an aptitude to adopting Sears () Holdings Corporation (SHC) -specific technology solutions
() Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing marketplace
() Exceptional problem solving abilities and experience synthesizing disparate and sometimes contradictory data.
() Demonstrated ability to develop and apply information-driven analytic and quantitative approaches to solving complex business issues in a practical manner – with tangible results
