The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for successfully setting up A/V equipment to meet production schedules.
Flexible work schedule/hours, Monday - Friday (no weekends).

Job Requirements

  • Provide full range audio visual support for daily meetings, conferences, board meetings and special projects
  • Coordinate audio visual services with Planning Managers and clients
  • Daily delivery of audio visual equipment, including set-up, use and storage and provide assistance to clients in the operation of equipment
  • Maintain daily work schedule throughout work day by monitoring adjustments to A/V equipment in client meeting rooms
  • Maintain accurate record of usage of equipment by customers, equipment failures and service needs and convey said information to the supervisor and conference planning manager
  • Maintain audio visual booths, storage facilities and offices
  • Maintain and update the bar coded inventory system for all equipment
  • Complete billing reports
  • Assist with setup and removal of chairs and tables for meetings and events

  • Minimum of two years related work experience and/or applicable education equivalent
  • Operate an audio mixing console
  • Operate a basic video switching unit
  • Basic knowledge of lighting
  • Understand basic audio and video signal flow
  • Understand basic equipment block diagram
  • Basic PC and Apple computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Superior time management – able to work quickly and efficiently
  • Accept responsibility for the accuracy of the work as produced
  • Exhibit and practice the highest level of Guest Service skills while maintaining professional relationships with clients and interfacing with high level executives
  • Willingly accept change, new procedures & constructive comments
  • Maintain a professional work ethic
  • Problem-solve issues quickly and efficiently as they arise
  • React quickly and professionally to requests and demands
  • Lifting 50lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
