Job Purpose: The Assistant General Manager (AGM) provides the support to direct and control; activities within the assigned functional area to maintain the efficient and economical utilization of facility resources and to ensure the prompt distribution and delivery of outbound orders in accordance with ISO 9001. Taking direction from the General Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the daily monitoring and departmental operations, scheduling of the work force and controlling cost and hours worked. The Assistant Manger provides the support to ensure total commitment to a high level of quality distribution and leadership. Management scope will include clerical /customer service, receiving, order filling and shipping functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the day to day compliance with the standardized processes in customer service, receiving, order filling, shipping and quality assurance are met
• Identify and recommend needed changes to the general manager on the standardized processes for customer service, receiving, order filling , shipping and quality assurance in accordance with ISO 9001
• Coordinate and monitor operations to ensure performance and productivity goals are consistent with business plans. Ensure plans are met.
• Forecast and monitor associate staffing and equipment to meet seasonal levels. Provide recommendations to effectively address operational issues / problems.
• Promote safety in work processes and educate associates in loss prevention, safety and OSHA polices and procedures. Ensure the facility is a safe environment.
• Maintain and support housekeeping standards of the facility by coordinating and implementing 5S program.
• Ensure departmental quality and productivity standards are met through training, performance management and associate rewards and recognition.
• Monitor and support Quality Management System. Ensure ISO/QMS is communicated, understood and maintained throughout the facility
• Assure compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Participate in the performance review process for all non-exempt associates.
• Communicate on a daily basis with general manager, associates and external customers • Complete special projects as assigned by general manager
• Ensure quality inventory control through managing cycle counts and annual physical inventory

• Bachelors or Associates Level Degree or equivalent experience
• Prior Lead or Supervisory experience preferred Required Job Competencies:

• Broad knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.

• Ability to effectively plan resource needs (labor, equipment, supplies) on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Skilled at conducting performance evaluations of exempt associates.
• In depth knowledge of PRS and facility human resource policies, procedures, and operations.
• Good communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate with and motive workforce.
• Solid understanding of spreadsheet and presentation software.
• Working knowledge of the key performance indicators of overall unit performance - (cost, productivity, and quality measures). • Good team and facilitator skills; working knowledge of continuous process improvement methods/techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of receiving, order filling and shipping processes.
• Understanding of the National Parts Network (NPN)/National Parts System (NPS) systems.
• Broad understanding of inventory control and the impact on facility performance and overall Sears' performance.
• Understanding of Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Sound understanding of transportation practices and cost drivers.
• Extensive knowledge of material handling equipment usage and related preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge in loss prevention, safety, and OSHA policies and procedures
• General knowledge of product services operations supply chain flow
