Manages and coordinates the receiving, order filling, and shipping operations of a distribution center in an efficient and cost effective manner. Ensures high standards of quality and customer service in delivering quality products to the In-Home and PartsDirect business units' internal and external customers. Responsible for scheduling, managing, and monitoring the day-to-day activities, 5-8 Warehouse leads and –100-125 floor associates, achieving productivity metrics (KPIs) as well as delivering the financial plan for the location. This position is likely to be required to work second shift and weekends.

The Parts Distribution Center General Manager is responsible for directing and controlling activities within an assigned functional area to maintain the efficient and economical utilization of facility resources and to ensure the prompt distribution and delivery of outbound orders in accordance with International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001. This position is responsible for daily departmental operations, scheduling of the work force and controlling cost and hours worked throughout the six day multi-shift operation. This position provides the support to ensure total commitment to a high level of quality distribution and leadership.

• Coordinates and manages the flow of inbound and outbound orders including the unloading, checking in and fulfillment of orders. Monitors priority of processing orders.
• Monitors, assesses, manages and makes recommendations to key productivity indicators, such as financial, productivity, service and people goals in order to reduce and control costs.
• Establishes and monitors the daily schedule and priorities and ensures priorities are adhered to and resources are utilized to control costs in order to meet customer needs.
• Develops, implements and administers operational policies, programs and systems within warehouse operations.
• Establishes methods and procedures for departmental work activities, identifies and resolves operational problems through process and IT systems enhancements, and communicates expertise and approvals concerning departmental activities.
• Prepares productivity reports including monitoring of vendor, PDC and carrier compliance to fill rate performance..
• Develops and assesses appropriate procedures for processing inbound and outbound orders, with a focus on high quality work processes driving efficiencies. Ensures quality inventory control through timely receipt and purchase order closure, claims management, cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
• Identifies and implements needed changes to standardized processes for customer service, receiving, order filling, shipping and quality assurance in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS) program. This may include cross functional communication with Planning, Vendor Management, Parts Direct, and In Home organizations.
• Promotes safety in the work processes and educates associates in loss prevention, safety, Hazmat, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures, and ensures the facility is a safe environment• Ensures departmental quality and productivity standards are met through training, performance management and associate reward and recognition
• Manages the hiring, orientating, evaluation and development of associates. Carries out disciplinary actions or recommends termination of employment as appropriate.
• Completes special projects as assigned by Senior leadership
