The Quality Maintenance Assistant (QMA) will provide unit level support for maintenance and safety standards. The QMA will work in conjunction with the Quality Maintenance Technicians as requested. QMAs are expected to perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks in order to maintain the interior and exterior of the building. The QMA assists the store in maintaining the standards and disciplines needed to impact energy usage. The QMA may be assigned to one (1) store. The person seeking this position must have a mechanical aptitude, be a self-starter, and have the ability to work with limited supervision. This position reports to the District Facilities Manager. Responsibilities: •Maintain interior of building – flooring, plumbing, paint, patch and misc. repairs •Maintain exterior of building – lawn care, sidewalk maintenance, parking lot maintenance, painting, power washing, parking lot re-stripping •Replace light bulbs •Maintain store shopping carts •Maintain lighting and plumbing equipment – light bulb changes, sinks, faucets •Report to District Facilities Manager on Facilities Standards issues •Create Work Orders (WO) for all work done – all time accounted for •Interact with Housekeeping Vendor Site Managers and Area Managers to monitor adherence to housekeeping specifications •Perform repairs as necessary to address customer focus point issues •Review operational integrity of housekeeping equipment •Monitor availability of housekeeping chemical supplies as required for specifications compliance •Communicate with store management on processes to improve store standards •Awareness of unit •Housekeeping standards and specifications

Job Requirements

Skill/Experience Requirements:
•Basic knowledge of carpentry, masonry and painting
•Ability to utilize equipment to perform maintenance tasks – ladders, tools, power washers
•Basic computer and communication skills
•Perform administrative duties utilizing the SMART system
•Possess ability to analyze problems and develop solutions
•Takes charge in the absence of detailed instruction
•Communicates with credibility and confidence
•Can be relied upon to meet schedules and deadlines
