The Carpet, Upholstery and Air Duct Cleaning Team Lead/Trainer is responsible for improving Technician performance by supporting the Branch Manager through assistance with reporting tasks, follow-up coaching, training, and real-time on the job support to the 30 to 40 Carpet Technicians reporting to the branch. The Team Lead is also be responsible for quality carpet and upholstery cleaning and other related services to our members.

Job Requirements

  • Reviews Carpet Technician work products and identifies issues for the Branch Manager to address in quality and performance.
  • Identifies performance outliers for the Branch Managers to coach for improved performance, tracks attendance Performance Plans for Improvement and ensures Branch Manager is following up on issues in a timely manner, and tracks and follows up on outstanding items such as field alert acknowledgements, coaching surveys, and compliance course completion
  • Provides classroom and on the job training to Carpet & Duct Technicians to ensure that the Technicians are following company policies and procedures to properly perform their job.
  • Maintains all training records for each associate for compliance & training sessions.
  • Surveys and discusses in detail with the customer any services to be completed.
  • Explains and sells as many additional services that the customer may desire, including additional carpet and upholstery cleaning, carpet protector, deodorizer and spotter.
  • Ensures that all pre-assigned jobs are successfully completed.
  • Completes and reviews invoices with the customer and secures payment for service.
  • Completes all paperwork upon returning to the branch, and turns in all invoices, payments and charges to designated person.
  • Remains constantly aware during the course of the day of supervisory responsibility toward the Technicians to proper training to complete job assignments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • At least three years as a Carpet Technician and experience supervising and training other associates
  • Ability to maintain a good driving record in compliance with Company requirements
  • Ability to remain informed of current industry knowledge
  • Good customer service techniques, including follow through on all matters of sale, with adept use of a full range of proven selling techniques
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with fellow Associates and external customers, and to assist a wide range of individuals in a variety of functions
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English well enough to be understood by supervisors, co-workers, and customers
  • Ability to demonstrate self control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations
  • All employees/associates may in the course of their duties come in contact with Credit / Debit Card Data. If this data is exposed as part of their position in the site/center, the associate must protect that data as directed and required by the compliance team to ensure SHC s compliance to current Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS)
