The Strategic evelopment Manager supports legacy applications and services as the Subject Matter Expert for a specific horizontal migration area: Allocation, Imports/Domestic, Softline Replenishment, Vendor Forecasting, Order Management, and Data Migration/Profiling.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above the SDM will have a team of Inventory Analysts reporting directly to them as they provide specific support to both Kmart & Sears stores across North America (368 in total). At its core the SDM will be analytically minded and excited at the opportunity to drill down and identify the root cause of issues while mentoring their direct reports to do the same.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree (analytical in nature preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a similar role (or 3+ years as an IM Manager or Planner)
  • Management experience
  • Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, v look ups, formulas, etc.) this is an analytical role at the core
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors department and line performance, and makes appropriate mid-course corrections to forecasts and develops and monitors pre-season, in-season, semi-annual, monthly, and weekly business financial plans and forecasts that adhere to strategic and financial objectives
  • Collaborate with IDRP team to conduct store analytics and oversee the allocation of imported and domestic products to support 368 stores nationwide
  • Spearhead root cause analysis efforts to identify areas of concern and initiate solutions
  • Develops associates through interviews, selection, coaching, mentoring, performance management, talent management, and succession planning
  • Create weekly in-stock and inventory flow reports and present/discuss results with team
  • Review all communications for the field prior to dissemination
  • Expected to achieve and maintain in-stock goals for the department at 95%
  • Successfully manage/mentor direct reports to ensure proper in-stock and flow of inventory to the stores
REQUIRED SKILLS
