The Analytics – Data Provisioning team is responsible for acquiring, integrating, and aggregating data from a wide range of sources to support Transform HoldCo analytical applications. Oversees a team focused on providing clients self-service access to data that is secure, timely, and accurate. We help users understand the data including its structure, lineage, and inherent business logic. Clients include internal marketing units, product managers, and a team of data scientists. Data is used to establish a unified ecosystem of reporting and advanced analytics that provides actionable insights for all business partners across the organization. Oversees a team will be required to work with business units' stakeholders to data governance and promote practices that improve data quality.

The Sr. Director, Analytics – Data Engineering oversees multiple teams of database developers and sets the strategic roadmap for the Transform HoldCo enterprise data provisioning layer. This position directly oversees the Data Architecture team. This position defines a shared and highly scalable data architecture for the organization that satisfies current and future client application demands. This position oversees the design and orchestrates the development of a high performance solution that leverages parallel processing techniques to run on a state-of-the-art Google Cloud and other cloud based platform platform. This position puts new development standards in place and aggressively pushes the migration of applications to modern processing environments supporting development platform tools.

Job Requirements


• Owns the strategic master data design and oversee its technical implementation. Utilizes managers to implement data acquisition and integration projects, both batch and real-time. Conceptually defines the overall solution architecture needed to implement a layered data stack that ensures a high level of data quality
• Leads a team to work closely with 32 BUs and other centers of excellence to better understand their data needs; helps to define and consolidate business logic where it crosses the organization. Works closely with the Analytics Engines team to design data structures for analytic use cases
• Provides rough work estimates for new data projects. As needed, communicates directly with product owners and clients to clarify requirements. Ensures the quality of the team s work product including technical solutions and design artifacts (functional design documents, data flow diagrams, data models, etc.)
• Drives the company toward a new Transform HoldCo Layered Data Architecture (LDA). Arbitrates architectural disagreements and resolve questions regarding adherence to these standards. Ensures that all new development follows the LDA standards
• Champions the use of version control and other development tools to manage the delivery process
• Implements enterprise-level monitoring processes and automated data quality checks
• Oversees level-4 technical support for specific subject areas as required
• Ensures operational requirements, standards and best practices are factored into plans to maximize effectiveness in support of the company's strategy
• Performs fiscal responsibilities which include monitoring project budgets, project deliverables, project follow up based on performance metric triggers, and distributing results for organizational visibility
• Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates.


• BS degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
• 10-15 years of database/SQL project experience including management of technical teams. Previous projects should display technical leadership with an emphasis on data warehouse solutions, business intelligence, big data analytics, or enterprise-scale custom software development
• Prior experience managing database development teams from 10-50 people in size. Direct experience utilizing agile project management experience a major plus
• Prior Google Cloud Platform and API access experience
• Extremely solid communication skills: verbal, visual and written
