The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Business Finance Manager and Director to support planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis within Sears Apparel business unit . This position will be responsible for performing financial analyses and assist with various planning, forecasting and reporting cycles.

The Senior Financial Analyst is an individual contributor who will assist a Business Unit Finance team (responsible for $400M-$4B in
revenue) with its financial planning and analysis.

Job Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages daily/weekly/monthly planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Reviews and diagnoses variances to plan, forecast and last year, working to ensure forecast accuracy
  • Manages the annual strategic planning process in conjunction with corporate timelines
  • Ensures corporate financial controls exist within the business
  • Provides regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed to help drive business results
  • Works with the Business Unit Finance team in aligning on decisions and recommendations
  • Acts as a liaison between other Finance departments

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • CFA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in Financial Planning, Forecasting, Strategic Business Decision Making or Analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial calculations
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills based upon financial and statistical results
  • Ability to read, interpret and communicate detailed quantitative data
  • Excellent computer skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Hyperion Essbase, Access)
  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English well enough to be understood by supervisors, co-workers, and customers
  • Ability to enter data and maneuver efficiently using a keyboard, operate a mouse, use telephone and headset equipment, and listen while keying information into the system
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of sitting and some standing and walking, with bending and reaching as necessary
  • Ability to demonstrate self control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations

If this data is exposed as part of their position in the site/center, the associate must protect that data as directed and required by the compliance team to ensure SHC s compliance to current Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS)
