The Human Resources Representative is a tactical Human Resources (HR) partner that communicates with associates. This position
is responsible for the administrative processes and may work independently. The HR Representative makes suggestions for process
improvement and/or efficiencies.
Scope: Assists Human Resources Manager/Generalist for one unit for all Human Resources administrative functions. Approximate headcount
varies from 100 to 700 associates.

Job Requirements


  • Conducts administrative processes to support People Strategies and enterprise wide Human Resources (HR) initiatives, such as reporting and data gathering
  • Manages open requisitions and job postings
  • Prescreens hourly candidates, and sets up interviews for all candidates
  • Processes new hire paperwork, including drug screens and background checks; assists with New Hire Orientation; issues badges
  • Compiles and maintains reports related to hiring and retention
  • Educates managers on how to use HR Planning System
  • Assists hourly associates with routing policy questions; directs associates to proper source
  • Manages payroll process, including data entry, processing exceptions, and reporting
  • Keeps records, department filings, and compliance (i.e., Sarbanes Oxley (SOX))
  • Educates associates on proper timekeeping processes and answers questions and on self service benefit resources (i.e., benefits website)
  • Manages Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation processes, including data entry, processing related payroll transactions, and reporting
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Basic proficiency in a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Payroll systems knowledge and skills, such as Kronos
  • General knowledge of human resources policies and practices
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, composing, typing and proofing materials
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Good to excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently
  • Experience in clerical, general administration or Human Resources


  • Some college with concentration in HR Management or Psychology
  • Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • 18 years of age or older
