JOB SCOPE:
The Region Sales Manager is responsible for supporting sales operations for a specific region consisting of 4-5 Areas with between $60 to $80 million in annual sales, installing over 6,000 projects, and over a 140 person sales team operating in multiple states.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Region Sales Manager is responsible for continued growth of the company's sales within the area offices in the specific region they support while maintaining acceptable profit margins by establishing and following guidelines as communicated by management. Activities include managing their area leaders and sales associates, improving sales force efficiencies in their region including increasing number of self-generated leads per salesperson, appointments per salesperson, managing their region's workforce, and working with leadership in developing and implementing short and long term strategies to increase sales while improving member engagement. This position will also partner with the Region Operations Manager for successful installation of the member's projects.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing Area Sales Mangers, Region Sales Onboarding Manager and Region Product Category Trainers
  • Manages key leadership roles within the region to include Area Sales Managers, Region Sales Onboarding Manager and Region Product Category Trainers to improve efficiencies in their region including increasing number of self-generated leads per salesperson and appointments per salesperson
  • Manages the region workforce, and works with leadership in developing and implementing short and long term strategies to increase sales while improving member engagement
  • Ensures the proper time, attention, and investment of resources are in place to identify, attract, and retain associates at all levels, particularly Area Sales Manager, Region Sales Onboarding Manager, and Region Product Category Trainers to ensure the business has the proper talent pools to ensure future leaders can be identified and promoted
  • Partners with region leadership team to lead key strategic initiatives designed to improve associate engagement and retention in a concerted effort to reduce the attrition of sales associates
  • Grows the company's sales within the district offices in the specific region they support while maintaining acceptable profit margins by establishing and following guidelines as communicated by management
  • Builds productive relationship with support departments such as the Lake Mary MAC, Product Management, Production and other resources to ensure successful installation of the member's projects
  • Supports national initiatives such as product expansion, product development, efficiency improvements, education, training, retention, and productivity improvements
  • Manages relevant Home Improvement sales prospects and programs; assists in developing sales strategies and processes, and coordinates field implementation of sales processes
  • Liaisons with other parts of the organization including Production, Operations, Business Intelligence, Information Technologies, Finance, Recruitment, and Human Resources to validate organization alignment
  • Forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals for the specific region they support
  • Educates sales team with presentations of sales strategies through seminars, webinars and regular sales related meetings

Job Requirements


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Over 10 years of related experience
  • Up to 75% travel
  • 18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to relay information in a comprehensive manner to all levels of the business
  • Ability to lead and influence behavior and change across different functions and teams
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Profit and Loss (P&L) and line management knowledge
  • Detail driven individual with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with ability to see the broader picture and summarize complex data
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Prior experience in a Sales Leadership Role with proven track record of performance
