This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, experienced HR professional. You will have the opportunity to help set and drive the HR direction and programs in a Region of approximately 125 stores, 2,500 associates and $300MM in annualsales.

You will build HR capabilities throughout the Region. Form a strong relationship with all members of the District and Regional Management Teams. You and your team will provide support and training to Store Management and Store associates. You will ensure the accurate execution of all training programs (hourly and management) and facilitate leadership development classes. You will head the Talent Acquisition program for your Region. You will be a member of the Region Leadership team.

Job Requirements

• Partners with the Sr. Director of HR and Regional Vice President (RVP) in executing all HR programs and initiatives.
• Aids in the identification of high potential associates, and assists DM's with creating and monitoring development plans within the region(s).
• Partners in succession planning / career planning.
• Drives Talent Acquisition in the Region. Closely involved in the recruitment and selection of all salaried positions in the Region. High level oversight and tracking for the hourly recruiting in the Region
• Drives Retention programs for the Region
• Provides direction and guidance regarding performance management, performance improvement plans for the business units organization or individual performance.
• Provides guidance and assistance in associate relations matters and investigations
• Supports labor relations initiatives.
• Schedule all new to position District Service Managers (DSMs) and Auto Center Managers (ACMs) to attend In Training programs and will run/coordinate this program for ACM-ITs.
• Monitors all Managers in Training and conducts regularly scheduled conference calls with all trainees' and monitors progress after assignment to their location.
• Manges the training function in the Region (5+ direct mechanical and sales training direct reports). Ensures delivery, execution of training program is meeting District and Company expectations.
• Identifies HR development opportunities specific to the region/district/store and responds to the needs by executing both corporate and HR business training.
• Ensures HR Compliance and Labor Standards are implemented properly in Region


• Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, education, or equivalent

• Five plus years of progressive responsibility in Human Resources
• Three (3) to five (5) years management experience (store or HR) or equivalent.

Role specific abilities/skills
• Strong knowledge of field operations, policies, procedures/practices and organizational development/training programs.
• Facilitation experience, particularly in soft skills such as Leadership, Change Management, Communication, etc.
• Strong analytical abilities to gather and interpret information; develop, recommend, and implement solutions.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to direct and handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
