The Product Manager is responsible for developing new products and improving the profitability and performance of existing products utilized within the Online and Integrated Retail experiences for Sears Holdings Corporations and its properties. The Product Manager will improve engagement and conversion of their Online product line by improving overall member experience of existing products/features or develop a new product concept based on industry experience and/or feedback from members. The Online product for which the Product Manager will be accountable and drive is the Buying Flow – from Cart through checkout; the experience where, once a Member adds items to their cart, promotes those items through capabilities, features and functions with the end goal of converting that item placement into a purchase.

The Product Manager is responsible in ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals, defining the product strategy and roadmap, identifying prioritized features and corresponding justification, developing the business case, acting as an expert with respect to the competition, and ensuring that the business requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong eCommerce background, solid technical acumen with an understanding of frontend and backend systems. They will be able to evidence leadership skills, including ownership and an ability to drive in past roles as well as the ability to lead and collaborate cross-functionally to develop products that provide members with a seamless Integrated Retail experience. Candidate is expected to be proficient in their verbal and written communications and leadership skills. Overall, the individual will be an active part of an organization focused on innovative business architecture design, a seamless member experience, operational execution, and channel integration.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for writing product requirements, development of business models, defining support requirements and processes
• Works collaboratively with Retail operations, Marketing, product development, and support within and outside the business unit.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking to inform the product roadmap and strategy and evolve the business model.
• Define key performance metrics for projects and initiatives, and develop reporting solutions to track results against benchmarks or standards.
• Measure performance of products and drive improvements where opportunities exist.
• Assess risks and monitor quality of execution and processes.
• Build strong relationships across the company and work closely with individuals to gain an understanding of end to end business processes and associated data.
• Work cross functionally to assess potential revenue opportunities
• Quantify financial impacts to business when strategic decisions are made that affect the business or when precarious issues occur.
• Measure, analyze, and communicate financial results of various initiatives, enhancements, and break-fixes from a pre-vs-post perspective.
• Work collaboratively with Analytics team to develop meaningful cost/benefit analysis for projects and initiatives.
• Define key performance metrics for projects and initiatives, and work with Analytics team to develop reporting solutions to track results against benchmarks or standards.
• Translate operational issues into product requirements and prioritize deliverables by defining Return on Investment (ROI) of the changes
• Review member feedback to understand the product experience and drive product improvements and to reduce member pain points

Desired Skills and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of experience in product management and/or eCommerce operations.
• Experience in financial analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to manage and lead complex projects including ability to interpret and communicate detailed technical requirements
• Ability to gather and analyze business information in a clear and concise manner in order to develop, recommend and implement solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software, especially Excel.
• Experience in Agile Methodology
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
