Great opportunity for a Commercial photographer to work in the Elgin design studio who will be responsible for the daily production of table top, off-figure laydown, on figure model, 360 still and video photography for Sears and Kmart Brands. Use includes websites, circular, signage, advertising and social media platforms.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
  • Reporting to the photography manager and partnering with the styling manager/stylist the Photographer will be responsible to complete approximately 300-600 standard product images/ videos per week in addition to 10-20 creative images/ videos for social media posting. All imagery follows a standardized process to optimize productivity and meet deadlines while maintaining image quality.
  • Consult with Art director/stylist/producer in various departments to ensure clear direction and expectation for photography.
  • Uses independent decision-making skills to judge digital files for color, contrast, balance, background in order to provide internal art direction with final image selection for publication.
  • Manages incoming photo requests and identify need for improved/additional photography across all media.
  • Aid Photography/ Styling staff on maintenance of photographic/ styling equipment, prepping and processing of merchandise.
  • Digitech/ Assist photography team for On-Figure, Location and special projects.
Skills/Experience requirements
  • 3-5+ years commercial photography in a studio environment.
  • 3-5+ years of experience with digital media retouching, image manipulation and post production techniques and software to enhance/improve image quality.
  • Strong experience with high volume workflow management and image quality assurance for digital photography
  • Advanced Knowledge of still photographic lighting techniques, principles, image processing and color temperature/balancing.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Dslr -Canon/Broncolor photographic Equipment, Capture One and Adobe photoshop/Suite software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Mac and PC computers.
