Job Summary:

The Operations Analyst II is responsible for building new and supporting existing applications and reports utilizing web and database technologies, developing best practices for call center businesses, and formulating new solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, this position provides consistent, high quality web application results in a high pressure, deadline driven work environment. Preferred location is West Hills, CA, but position can be located remotely, preferably near a Service Contracts or Member Services Organization location.

Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities:
  • Takes systems architecture designs and develops application modules. Develops applications from the ground up and maintains and runs applications on an ongoing basis. Develops web applications solutions. Develops best practices and new applications based on lessons learned
  • Analyzes data and conducts root cause assessments to minimize future maintenance
  • Presents findings and proposed solutions to business leaders
  • Tests solutions, tracks pilots, and completes other implementation duties as necessary
  • Authors modular application design from concept fulfillment to implementation within a dynamic web site production environment
  • Provides technical back-up for the Manager Application Development & Support and maintains/runs systems during his/her absence. Maintains and repairs system application issues or escalates as needed
  • Uses core application systems to provide ad hoc reporting as requested by management
  • Leads lower level team members on projects and provides them technical assistance as needed.
  • Works in a self-directed manner, working independently, prioritizing workload, and handling multiple tasks to effectively and efficiently service customers
  • Takes initiative to acquire business knowledge to support company goals and objectives
  • Effectively implements and supports change
  • Provides ad-hoc requests as needed

Requirements:
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Requires the use of Transact SQL, VB, Java Script, CSS, and HTML. Knowledge of ColdFusion, SP.net or classic ASP is desired.
  • Practical knowledge of application development, as well as basic development knowledge of MS SQL Server (SQL programming, DTS / SSIS authoring and integration, Stored Procedure development) would be helpful.
  • Requires working knowledge of web application development within the context of current web server application architectures, most specifically IIS.
  • Microsoft Office, specifically Excel experience would be a plus.
  • Practical background experience in the following is desirable: Cold Fusion or ASP.net or classic ASP (ultimately with MS SQL Server 20XX ), Java Script, and HTML in a Windows environment. Java, VB, VBA, C, C++ knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work productively and effectively when faced with stressful situations, which includes maintaining effective interactions with others under sometimes stressful working conditions

Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:
  • BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience
  • No formal experience required if candidate has a degree in computer science with training in required languages
