The Senior Office Assistant is responsible for providing general administrative support to a department or group of managers. The nature of the work may vary between departments. Daily work load will include researching and obtaining information for routine reports and special assignments, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, recording meeting minutes, preparing presentations, and working on special projects.

Job Requirements


• Performs clerical tasks with a high degree of attention to detail in a fast paced environment
• Researches and obtains information for routine reports, compiles and reviews data, and prepares reports for action by appropriate manager
• Maintains calendar of appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries
• Attends department and center meetings and records minutes for action registers, and distributes meeting minutes
• Coordinates meetings and meal functions/arrangements for onsite and offsite meetings
• Prepares presentations, correspondence, memorandums, reports, and special announcements, and distributes to internal and external sources as appropriate
• Maintains a list of all performance evaluation review dates and notifies appropriate manager
• Uses good judgment and discretion and maintains confidentiality
• Handles inquiries within bounds of authority and directs to appropriate parties when answer in beyond authority given
• Performs other duties as assigned


• Ability to type 55 words per minute (WPM)
• Customer service skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, set priorities and meet prescribed time frames
• Ability to work independently
• Proficient skill in use of computer processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English well enough to be understood by supervisors, co-workers, and customers
• Ability to enter data and maneuver efficiently using a keyboard, operate a mouse, use telephone and headset equipment, and listen while keying information into the system
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of frequent sitting and some standing and walking, with bending and reaching as necessary. Able to lift, push or pull up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to demonstrate self control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations and maintain confidentiality
• All employees/associates may in the course of their duties come in contact with Credit / Debit Card Data. If this data is exposed as part of their position in the site/center, the associate must protect that data as directed and required by the compliance team to ensure SHC s compliance to current Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS)


• Associate's degree or completion of secretarial training program
• Familiarity with similar business group or industry performance measurements


• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience
• 18 years of age or older
