JOB SCOPE:
Responsible for growing profitable sales with emphasis on conversion. Drives a selling culture that supports local merchandise demand, execution of Business Unit merchandise strategies, inventory availability optimization, and minimized markdowns. Responsible for selling processes and behaviors in consultative areas, including credit, and Protective agreements. Serves as champion for merchandise presentation standards and space productivity.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for selling processes and behaviors in consultative areas, including credit, Protective agreements, Shopper Recap and training. Serves as champion for merchandise presentation standards and space productivity.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for driving the Members First Engagement (MFE) consultative (commission) selling process in stores. Owns delivery and cancellation issues, along with Shopper Recap, Credit, Protection Agreements, proper staffing and training for consultative departments. Reviews KPIs to identify successes and opportunities and takes action where needed.
• Drives Average Order Value (AOV) & Units Per Transaction (UPT) conversion initiatives. Supports cross merchandise opportunities throughout the store, selling space productivity, upselling (increasing units per transaction and/or value of commission sales), and "Greet and Assist" to optimize AOV and UPT.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (Contd.):
• Accountable for establishing and maintaining merchandise presentation standards; utilizes sales and sell thru reporting to maximize sales, profit, and space productivity. Develops store teams merchandising abilities through frequent coaching and training.
• Partners with the Director, Division Merchandiser on areas of concern including sales/margin opportunities relative to inventory management and operational process deficiencies. Reduces margin erosion by focusing on the seasonality of apparel and seasonal merchandise sets.
• Partners with the Director, Division Merchandiser to review/create plans for inventory flow to meet seasonal and event needs while maintaining margin. Communicates inventory issues to Director, Division Merchandiser while suggesting solutions. Directs execution of merchandising changes or transfer of merchandise between locations.
• Utilizes Seasonal Sell thru reports to identify stores with increased potential for markdown risk. Helps create action plans to optimize margin and minimize markdowns.
• Communicates local merchandise needs upstream to inventory team, including the need for additional current inventory or potential new merchandise assortment to serve local community needs. Builds relationships with inventory teams, allowing for the communication and resolution of inventory issues raised by store teams.
• Supports member focused strategies around Shop Your Way, member feedback and best stores/best categories/best members.
• Responsible for coordinating merchandise assortment and flow of POG products (national buys), as well as developing localized requirements that results in "Store of the Community" merchandise offering.
• Conducts store visits to enhance sales and merchandising opportunities. Analysis of revenue, profit and inventory ownership to develop actions and solutions.
• Creates a work environment that fosters open communication and encourages feedback from within their market team. Courageous leadership to provide upward feedback while providing action oriented solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Valid Driver License for the State of employment
• Up to 100% travel
• 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Multi-Store management skills (softlines, hardlines, operations)
• Knowledge of/experience with financial operations and processes; making data-driven decisions based on financial or other data; analytical skills to diagnose root cause and implement solutions
• Strong track record of driving selling solutions (PAs, SPPs, Credit, and install)
• Strong understanding of local market needs and strategies
• Strong understanding of business unit structure and strategies
• Strong understanding of transitional businesses. SYW, Leasing, Financial Services
• Strong understanding of store core processes and standards
• Strong analytical skills, including financial analysis capability, root cause analysis and ability to implement solutions
