The Mgr, Product Training & Dev is responsible for creating and supporting an end-to-end Product training and development program to improve individual and organization performance for each of SHIPs key product lines: HVAC, Interiors, or Exteriors as assigned. This position is responsible for identifying market trends including product offerings, and market environmental changes enabling the organization to make adjustments as necessary. This position manages the on-going design of Product training and support content, as well as facilitating Train-the-Trainer sessions with the Sales/Production and Call Center training teams along with the Field organization. This position is responsible for driving education on product sales positioning, installing compliance through production product training and continuous communication on product performance to achieve optimal target revenue and margin growth.

Job Requirements


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Creates, designs and implements product and program specific training & development in the organization across the various functions (Sales, Production and Call Center) while working collaboratively with the associated Product Manager.
  • Continuously evaluates product line specific performance to margins and close rates and makes adjustments to training as needed to improve business results.
  • Closely partners with Product Management department to facilitate and deploy product updates throughout the business.
  • Partners with Third Party Vendors to facilitate in-house training on new and updated product offerings.
  • Provides on-going training on Program, Warranty, Asset Protection and Ordering/Returns.
  • Partners with Field and Corporate leadership teams to best execute upon different product, program, and offering strategies in chosen pilot markets. Incumbent should assist in the identification of process improvements, alternate positioning strategies, and marketing message suggestion.
  • Assesses knowledge gaps and creates development programs to address deficiencies & drive performance and accountability
  • Offers specific training programs to help role playing, simulations, group discussions, or videos.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5-10 years of related experience
  • Up to 50% travel
  • 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Project Management Skills
  • Extensive and demonstrated product knowledge for assigned product lines.
