The Immigration & Wk Auth Coordinator is responsible for the activities related to all Immigration/Foreign National Sponsorship and Work Authorization functions, which includes interacting with current associates candidates, HR Business Partners, Recruiters, managers, Business Unit leaders, and a 3rd party Counsel. This position is also responsible for the implementation of initiatives, projects, and programs related to Immigration/Sponsorship/Work Authorization matters.

Job Requirements

• Advises and coaches sponsored associates, HR Business Partners, managers, and business leaders to on Permanent Residency (Green Card) and Non-Immigrant Visa (i.e., H-1B, TN, etc.) cases and filings.
• Coaches Recruiting team, and advises on questions related to candidate sponsorship needs prior to hiring decisions being made
• Develops training and informational materials on immigration/sponsorship and delivers to business partners/leaders, managers, HR Business Partners and Recruiters
• Owns all sponsorship cases, activity, and budget spend in order to make process, policy, and decision improvements to realize, refine, and ensure consistent and best practices throughout the enterprise
• Provides guidance and advises on "next step" options for any Foreign National (and their manager) that does not get an H-1B approved under the annual filing cap
• Partners with outside counsel to ensure accuracy of cases and filings and to stay current on work authorization, Permanent Residency and Non-Immigrant Visa trends and information
• Regularly partners with outside counsel for petition filings, additional trainings, and additional information
• Ensures all Form I-9 Work Authorizations are completed and/or re-verified within the appropriate timeframe
• Ensures all paperwork is completed on time by sponsored associates, HR Business Partners, outside counsel, managers and business leaders to prevent potential gaps of employment or termination due to insufficient work authorization
• Authorizes employment verification and other employment related documents for sponsored associates traveling internationally, as requested
• Performs ad hoc HR Generalist activities

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in HR or related field
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as experience working and communicating with multiple levels of the organization
• Ability to handle sensitive matters and able to maintain confidentiality
• Consultative skills
• Ability to multi-task

• Experience or familiarity with Immigration/Sponsorship/Work Authorization processes and laws
