The DVP, Footwear Sourcing identifies, develops and monitors operational excellence opportunities in sourcing and merchandising for Footwear business. Partner with buyers to optimize the best sourcing to ensures the merchandising / strategic vision is implemented in all aspects of the business.

Job Requirements

  • Define sourcing strategies and re-evaluate vendor matrix to ensure it is up to date
  • Own vendor allocation and sample strategy for product development & placement
  • Source new vendors to support specific categories
  • Re-evaluate costing, leveraging opportunities and vendor strategy
  • Identify and implement change initiatives that improve workflow, productivity and business results. Assess risks and monitor quality of output for adjustments and reporting
  • Facilitates the integration of communication between teams and departments to remove obstacles, improve responsiveness and prompt decision making
  • Develop and lead the product development calendar
  • Develop standard processes and reports that provide insights in sourcing strategy
  • Support the development of a high performance team by assisting in selection, development and deployment of talent & human capital
  • Contribute to defining global footwear Costing direction and strategy
  • Actively contribute to the maximization of Go-In-Margin through cost mitigation and negotiation with suppliers related to efficiency, Labour and Overhead fluctuations, and through analytical studies allowing the set up and optimization of costing standards.
  • Lead/support strategic negotiation rounds with suppliers.
  • Stay up to date on related industry and company business trends and drivers to support proactive adjustment to the dynamic cost environment.
  • Provide costing leadership with insights on cost driver developments and supplier competitiveness
