The SR. Data Scientist/Advanced Statistical Modeler is responsible will develop data science-driven analytics, reporting and statistical models aimed at maximizing the effectiveness of B2B and B2C product engagement (online and various other applications), acquisition, retention, churn reduction, ROI and relationship management programs. Also works with appropriate teams to identify key performance metrics and regularly produces reports on performance against metrics, including modeling for predictive / forecast analysis.

Other support analysis includes data mining, client/customer/prospect metrics, monthly engager/engagements and profile reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Develop statistical models, analytic tools, and advanced dashboards across B2B and B2C lifecycle, segment and channel
  • Expertise with SAS and/or R, Advanced Excel Macros, and Tableau in an analytical framework to perform trend analysis, risk analysis, advance reporting and analytics for all aspects of the business
  • Build and refine predictive and descriptive analysis to improve insights, enhance data-driven strategies, develop decision making insight from data trends, to improve profitability
  • Keen ability to visualize data through BI tools and graphing/charting; Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Communicate with requestors/stakeholders and channel team leads (including non-technical audiences) to determine their reporting and analytic needs, discuss progress and present results, insights and recommendations in a clear concise format
  • Maintain an analytics “library” containing “Step by Step” documentation for key analytical procedures, statistical model development and segmentation development in a shared environment

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, math or quantitative field and 8+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the responsibilities of the position
  • Hands-on expertise in analytic programs such as R, Python, SAS, Tableau, SPSS; advanced Excel skills (macros, formulas, pivots), and other advanced features
  • 5+ years data management skills in a large enterprise data warehouse (MySQL/Taradata) and/or big data environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in the retail B2B and B2C market, loyalty programs, financial products or membership industry, and online services preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
