Manage, develop and scale data analytics teams focused on supporting specific core business priorities. As part of a broad business focus, you will be directly accountable for business results. Job Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own analytics, insights and A/B testing across the organization and within teams
• Hire, inspire and grow a high-performing team of analysts/data scientists.
• Work with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify meaningful KPIs and build reporting to keep the company up to date on progress; partner on ad hoc reports as needed.
• Collaborate with leaders of subscription & eCommerce business, Merchandising, Growth, and Product to help drive their understanding of the key drivers of the business.
• Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to develop impactful and actionable product, user and business insights.
• "Lead analytical deep-dives to identify problems, opportunities, and actions. Design and assist in building and/or implementing analytics infrastructure across the organization."
• Drive the necessary tools, processes and training to democratize data for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to build predictive models that are used by Product, Merchandising, Growth and Marketing teams.
• Be the company advocate for utilizing statistical data in an accurate and consistent manner across all departments and levels of the organization.
• Provide guidance and support to big data ETL engineer on performance and facilitate ETL performance tuning
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 10+ years of demonstrated success in analytics/data science; 3+ years of experience leading analytics/data science teams in a fast-growing organization.
• Strong quantitative background obtained through a degree in a related field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics); MS/PhD preferred.
• Successful track record of building and developing a high-performing team.
• Deep understanding of A/B testing and experimentation; experience with designing, analyzing A/B tests, and driving a test-driven culture across engineering, product, and operational teams.
• Expert level knowledge of SQL combined with an understanding of big data and real-time processing systems and tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, MapReduce, Kafka, Storm etc.).
• Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Redash, Looker.
• Exposure to scripting languages and statistical packages (e.g. Python and R).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
