  • Work closely with project teams and senior leaders to develop Business Intelligence (BI) applications and data designs for leading-edge technical platforms for the Member Services Organization (MSO) and conduct detail level data analysis and data profiling.
  • Plan, coordinate and report status of technical development projects from initiation through implementation and continuously drive the project forward.
  • Design and deploy data architecture solutions that include logical and physical designs, and interact with technical analysts to gather data requirements and expand the knowledge of the data available from source data systems, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
  • Effectively interact with peers, stakeholders, end users and technical partners to achieve goals.
  • Implement data focused architecture solutions in a flexible, fast paced and rapidly changing environment while applying broad, in-depth technical business knowledge to establish data architecture impact, direction, and priorities.
  • Drive resource strategy, including Instructional Design resources, in-house and outsourced, and Project Managers to meet development requirements and monitor progress, facilitate prioritization with business partners, and resolve escalating issues.
  • Empower developers, coders, and other Information Technology (IT) personnel through instruction and functional knowledge transfer as it relates to data and data structures.
  • Effectively monitor and ensure coordination and effectiveness of all data activities.
  • Act as a Delivery Lead on complex technical projects with broader scope/systems dependencies.
  • Develop technical project plans and ensure the scope, business requirements and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and communicate progress of project delivery in terms of cost, forecast, schedule and assessment of risks/issues.
  • Ensure effective change control procedures and processes are efficiently used to maintain control on scope, schedule, quality and cost.
  • Facilitate the quality assurance process throughout the project's lifecycle to ensure final product meets the expectations of the original project requirements.
  • Ensure all project deliverables including contracts have been completed, deliverables are on schedule, and within specification and budget for assigned projects.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering Systems - Electrical Systems, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience analyzing, designing, developing and modeling Business Intelligence applications, or, alternatively, Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering Systems - Electrical Systems, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience analyzing, designing, developing and modeling Business Intelligence applications.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) participating in the full software development life cycle using data modeling tools, including PowerDesigner and Erwin.
  • DE developing Business Intelligence (BI) applications using data warehouse methodologies (Entity Relationship Model, Relational Online Analytical Processing, Dimensional Modeling and de-normalization), Structured Query Language, data analysis tools, and Metadata management.
  • DE performing big data analytics and developing data marts and warehouse for BI and decision support using heterogeneous data sources, data visualization and analytics tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Hyperion Essbase, and Business Objects), and ETL tools (Pentaho and DataStage) to support business requirements.
  • DE managing BI projects from concept to implementation, and coordinating cross functional business and technical teams in an Agile and Scrum environment.
