The Accountant I supports a specific businesses by working closely with the Controller, Management and Senior Management to
ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accountant I provides four wall accounting (including Balance Sheet. P&L, A/R, A/P, Sales Tax compliance/audits and equity clearances)and financial support to their business. This position ensures the integrity of the financial statements by owning the general ledger and all daily transactions.

Job Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Examines documents and ensuring adherence to prescribed procedures. Checks accuracy and completeness of documents.
Assigns codes / accounts and preparing transaction sheets. Analyzes and audits various accounts. Posts, checks and/or approves
entries to general ledger and accounts. Verifies and processes accounts payable. Traces transactions to determine source of
discrepancies. Detects errors and corrects them accordingly. Maintains manual records in support of various transactions
• Communicates with business financial managers, vendors, field personnel, Wipro/India team and other Hoffman Support Center
associates in problem solving. Strives to meet customer expectations and needs
• Trains team members (local and in India) on job knowledge / understanding / skills, workflow and process improvements
• Assists the manager in determining work priorities and helps coordinate workflow within the team
• In conjunction with management, participates in ongoing efforts to enhance operational effectiveness and process improvement.
Conducts research, special studies, etc. as needed
• Keeps manager informed of all pertinent workflow activities and progress being made within the team
• Reviews processes to ensure that they are meeting team objectives. Works with the manager to ensure work processes are
implemented through the team

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 1-2 years general accounting experience
• Experience working for a medium to large company preferred with exposure to large accounting systems
• Intermediate MS Excel
