Duties: Analyze business requirements and develop and implement software for eCommerce applications and related technology. Design and develop application solutions using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Angular, and React. Create self-documenting designs and/or clearly communicate intent via comments in code, on specification, in as-built documentation, and during code reviews. Write unit and integration tests for deliverables, effectively and comprehensively exercising the code; prevent the introduction of subsequent bugs and correct existing bugs or design issues. Develop effective partnership with customers/internal customer. Engage with QA staff to establish testing tasks, approach and standards. Merge releases, and upgrade builds to deploy code in large scale distributed UNIX systems and web servers. Create entity-database models; create dashboards; and create production reports to troubleshoot issues and discover root cause. Orchestrate business-guided workflows working with external vendors to seamlessly integrate with core logic. Prototype architecture to replace legacy architecture for improvement of system performance. Influence the discovery and decision-making process when changes to standards and technology are required (tools, conventions, and design patterns). Serve as a team member in the design and new technology Proofs of Concept for applications for new technology. Perform code reviews to ensure functional performance specifications are met, engineering standards are followed and adhere to PCI/PII compliance regulations. Participate in the formulation and implementation of department processes, procedures, policies, and standards. Mentor junior-level Engineers.

Job Requirements

Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience analyzing, designing and coding large scale Java/J2EE and mobile web applications using Angular, React, JavaScript within the ecommerce and retail domain. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience analyzing, designing and coding large scale Java/J2EE and mobile web applications using Angular, React, JavaScript within the ecommerce and retail domain.
Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) in design and development of large scale Java/J2EE web applications in service-oriented architecture using object-oriented programming in Java 8, JUnit, Spring, and tools, including Maven for build, Git for version control, and Jenkins for continuous integration within Unix and Windows environments; DE building REST and SOAP Web Services, including writing optimized database queries for relational MySQL database; DE developing and deploying applications on the Amazon Cloud platform using Amazon Web Services (AWS), EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, VPC, Auto Scaling, and AWS Developer tools, including Code Deploy, Code Build, and Code Pipeline; and, DE developing web-based applications using HTML, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular, React, JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery, and CSS within the retail domain following the Agile and Waterfall Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) using Sprint/Scrum techniques and JIRA dashboard.
