  • Develop modern learning and performance applications for the Integrated Learning and Performance Department.
  • Make key architectural decisions for multiple products managed by the Department.
  • Work in partnership with other business units and cross functional teams to establish technology roadmap to enable their business and drive key metrics to report on the platform.
  • Responsible for the delivery and quality of learning and performance applications while providing expert guidance in developing future applications that enables success of the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal customers, cross functional teams and external vendors to implement new solutions to learning and performance management systems that are serving the enterprise.
  • Drive completion of entire projects and enable successful enterprise wide launches.
  • Translate product requirements to system level architecture and create architecture roadmaps and high-level designs.
  • Develop annual strategic plans, prioritize initiatives, and partner with senior executives to ensure the business is executing on these initiatives.
  • Set, communicate, and govern technical standards throughout the product development organization.
  • Analyze the risks, benefits, and opportunities associated with technology solutions.
  • Drive the creation and implementation of architecture standards and artifacts by working collaboratively with the Engineering leadership team.
  • Champion innovation projects and lead new ideas from inception to execution.
  • Lead technology evaluations and framework selections to choose the most appropriate technology that meets the current and future needs.
  • Manage, direct, and evaluate employee performance and set expectations and goals for members of the team.
  • Utilize analytics to drive ideas, results and change in the organization.
  • Create processes to identify, prevent and effectively solve problems.

Job Requirements

Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Technology Innovation Management or related field plus three (3) years experience designing large scale enterprise level systems. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Technology Innovation Management or related field plus five (5) years of experience designing large scale enterprise level systems. Must also possess the following: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Product Management Life Cycle in compliance with Agile methodologies including Sprint/Scrum and Kanban; DE designing large scale Software as a Service ( SaaS) based enterprise systems offered on cloud using MVC architecture, design patterns, RESTful Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Application Development Framework (ADF), and Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE); DE leading performance optimization efforts and addressing performance/scale/high-availability issues, including performance tuning, resolving deadlocks and race conditions applying thread dumps, database profilers, and SQL traces; and DE developing solutions using programming languages and tools, including Java, JDeveloper, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, Toad, C, XML, JavaScript, HTML, and database technologies, including Oracle and MySQL on platforms, including UNIX, LINUX and Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS).
