The Sr. Financial Analyst will work closely with Business Finance Manager and Director to support planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis for the Real Estate Business Unit within Transformco. This position will be responsible for performing financial analyses and assist with various planning, forecasting and reporting cycles.

The Sr. Financial Analyst is an individual contributor who will assist the Real Estate Business Unit Finance team (responsible for $400M-$4B in revenue) with its financial planning and analysis.

Job Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages daily/weekly/monthly planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Reviews and diagnoses variances to plan, forecast and last year, working to ensure forecast accuracy
  • Manages the annual strategic planning process in conjunction with corporate timelines
  • Ensures corporate financial controls exist within the business
  • Provides regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed to help drive business results
  • Works with the Real Estate Finance team in aligning on decisions and recommendations
  • Acts as a liaison between other Finance departments

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3-4 years of related experience
  • 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in Financial Planning, Forecasting, Strategic Business Decision Making or Analysis
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of Real Estate experience
  • Experience working with a Real Estate Property Management/Reporting Application
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial calculations
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills based upon financial and statistical results
  • Ability to read, interpret and communicate detailed quantitative data
  • Excellent computer skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Hyperion Essbase, Access)
  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English well enough to be understood by supervisors, co-workers, and customers
  • Ability to enter data and maneuver efficiently using a keyboard, operate a mouse, use telephone and headset equipment, and listen while keying information into the system
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of sitting and some standing and walking, with bending and reaching as necessary
  • Ability to demonstrate self control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Master's degree in related field
  • CPA or CFA
