Transformco is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join the Real Estate team. Our Paralegals assist with all matters relating to commercial real estate such as landlord and tenant issues, lease interpretations, acquisitions and dispositions (including title and survey review), review, interpretation and modification of Real Estate Agreements (REAs) and other related matters. The Real Estate legal team at Transformco is a collegial group of people who embrace challenge. We provide our paralegals a significant level of responsibility with room for growth.

Job Requirements

  • Estoppels and SNDAs
  • Review lease language, provide lease interpretation and draft lease amendments
  • Review REAs and provide interpretation and draft REA amendments
  • Review of title and survey
  • Provide guidance to Asset Managers and Property Administrators
  • Assist in disputes and defaults
  • Draft legal notices, letters, and correspondence
  • Draft minor amendments to leases and REAs
  • Manage law docket and project tracker

  • Bachelors level degree
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role required
  • Commercial Real Estate experience required. Retail experience preferred
  • Background in real estate transactions and leasing
  • Ability to draft and review real estate documents, such as lease renewals, lease amendments, license agreements, and closing documents
  • Ability to effectively proof and edit legal documents with attention to detail
  • Team player with ability to build strong relationships and work cross-functionally in a complex organizational structure
  • Strong legal research skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and mindset to face challenges with optimism
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without heavy supervision and to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
