Job Summary: The Multi-Unit Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for providing disciplined leadership, including clear expectations and holding the team and self-accountable for results. This position is accountable for conducting the training, detection, investigation, and successful resolution of all internal investigations within the assigned stores. This position is responsible for owning the shrink and safety results for the stores, and for supporting the Loss Prevention Five Play Strategy. Job Duties/Responsibilities: • Ensures all training in the detection and detention of shoplifters including certification has been completed in assigned store(s). • Conducts assessments of Loss Prevention and operational performance that impacts shortage control. Actively works with store team(s) in the development and implementation of action plans (shrink and safety) to improve performance. • Analyzes key Loss Prevention metrics, creates strategic action plans to mitigate low performing areas and deploy resources appropriately • Maintains knowledge in the areas of safety, food safety, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and environmental programs, and ensures implementation and compliance in the assigned stores • Conducts safety and food safety inspections on a regular basis, ensures timely and accurate reporting of results, and assists in the development and implementation of corrective actions • Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises Loss Prevention Associates within the assigned stores • Ensures accurate and timely report writing, record keeping, and retention of evidence • Ensures the proper operation and repairs of alarm, Electronic Article Surveillance, and Closed Circuit Television equipment • Develops store specific strategies to educate and motivate store associates to achieve shrink, worker's compensation, and general liability goals • Works as a liaison between the stores and the criminal justice community • Demonstrates courageous leadership by identifying and communicating potential ethical or safety issues that must be addressed at a higher level • Manages and ensures reporting of critical incidents in assigned area(s) of responsibility • Develops plans and engages in oversight of required inventories and audits in order to control costs and shrinkage • Advocates to ensure that customers and associates have a safe environment in which to shop and work (OSHA requirements and general liability adherence) • Provides high quality service for internal and external customers; commits to meet customer expectations • Ensures compliance with merchandise protection standards to enhance the customer shopping experience. Suggests new methods and practices to improve merchandise protection devices and strategies. • Works with the store teams to identify and react to out of stocks and known stolen data • Influences stores’ operations leadership to continuously enhance performance of shrink and safety • Drives Loss Prevention plans and projects using common tools, processes, and language (Loss Prevention Portal, Loss Prevention Metrics, Shrink and Safety results) • Builds a strong bench of talent to develop people for internal promotion (i.e., Loss Prevention Certification Program) • Makes recommendation and provides communication to influence others in situations where he/she has no direct authority • Performs supervisory responsibilities, including, but not limited to: making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting, and terminating; conducting performance appraisals; and coaching and developing associates • Models organization/culture values personally; has personal credibility and high integrity • Uses a disciplined, systematic approach to develop, document, and continuously improve upon processes • Seeks and suggests better ways of getting the job done and learns from both successes and failures • Meets departmental goals and objectives • Takes personal accountability for own work and maintains high personal standards • Works effectively under pressure, adapts well to, and supports change while balancing multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities • Provides first person coaching on the development of action plans based on Loss Prevention metrics • Collaborates with operations business partners to provide feedback on results such as Point of Sale activity, refund management, inventory results, and other key performance indicators (KPI) to improve metrics and control costs • Collaborates with operational business partners breaking down and critically analyzing problems, issues and opportunities to find root causes and develops rationale for decisions • Collaborates with team members and other stakeholders; uses agreed upon criteria and data for decision-making rather than hidden agendas • Considers costs, benefits, risks, implications, and impact when making and implementing Loss Prevention strategies and tactics

Job Requirements

Education Experience: HS Graduate or Equivalent Years of Related Experience: 3-4 Years License/Certificate Required: No Driver's License Required: No Travel Requirements: 50% Age Requirement: 18+ Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of selecting, assessing, and coaching associates, preferably in a retail environment
