JOB SUMMARY:
The Field Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with their Home Improvement Consultant team to train, coach, monitor, and provide leadership to ensure the team is building brand awareness and generating quality sales leads in a retail environment in order to meet business goals. The FMM will drive desired outcomes by meeting regularly with each home improvement consultant to communicate goals, provide feedback on performance, demonstrate desired behaviors, recognize outstanding results, and when appropriate, address deficiencies through formal corrective action.

JOB SCOPE:
Responsible for meeting or exceeding district lead generation metrics by staffing, training, and developing a team of Home Improvement Consultants generating approximately $12 Million in annual revenue and across approximately 12 retail stores. Managing Home Improvement Consultant hours to meet traffic demand and achieve optimal lead acquisition, working within the Field Marketing Manager Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

SUPERVISION: Up to 25 Home Improvement Consultants or area requirements.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyzes daily and weekly lead generation reports; coaches and recommends actions to drive improved performance
  • Maintains daily communication with Home Improvement Consultants, business partners and Regional Managers to gather feedback of program performance and recommends necessary actions to achieve desired results
  • Builds and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing business partners for lead generation
  • Identifies learning needs through store visits, in-person observation of Home Improvement Consultants' performance, and report monitoring; responds to opportunities by delivering targeted training
  • Partners with recruiters to identify, assess and select candidates for vacant Home Improvement Consultant jobs
  • Identifies potential Lead Home Improvement Consultant talent; partners with Regional Marketing Manager on internal promotions
  • Manages new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws
  • Conducts virtual training with Home Improvement Consultants on the pitch process as well as product knowledge training
  • Completes retail store audits to ensure that corporate initiatives are being implemented as designed
  • Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours, ability to travel overnight to assigned territory and sit in an automobile for extended periods of time
  • Reside within the geographic boundaries of the district, not to exceed 250 miles from nearest store
  • The ability to move around for extended periods of time
  • The ability to be self motivated in order to maintain high performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship building, and leadership skills
  • The ability to maintain a positive mental attitude at all times to provide a positive role model for subordinates, peers and other members of management
  • Available and reliable transportation
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities at one time and effectively handle employee issues and needs
  • Good problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to use technology and Microsoft applications, Word, Outlook, and Excel


PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Small group training facilitation

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-4 years of related experience
  • Valid Driver License for the State of employment
  • Up to 75% travel
  • 18 years of age or older
