Supervisor, Custom Products Specialist Team

Under the supervision of the Director of Product Operations, this position will require the associate to oversee all essential functions of the Custom Products Procurement Specialist. Incumbent will assist in hiring, training and supervising associate who perform the auditing and ordering of all custom ordered products for the organization.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Supervise and direct 5 -6 non-exempt associates
  • Manage Product auditing and order processing of 750 + front line orders between 300 + vendors.
  • Control the procurement of custom-made products and materials that will provide for a net install of $5 million + in monthly business for a total net install of $65 million + in annual business.
  • Direct and track $6 + thousand credits annually of returned product and cancelled materials for district offices

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Custom Products Procurement Specialist staff.
  • Support the auditing and procurement of orders and parts for accuracy for home improvement products
  • Select, train and performance manage and coach procurement specialist associates
  • Monitor holds and offer resolutions to internal specialist staff and district offices
  • Aid with adjusting commissions and notification to sales of changes after audit
  • Implement, manage, and maintain database for re-use of materials from cancelled jobs
  • Supervise invoicing and charge back trip and labor to vendors
  • Manage deadlines and cut off schedules on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with General Manager, Production Manager, Project Coordinators and District Administrators to ensure accurate and consistent information regarding orders and parts
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure accurate information on confirmation of order
  • Provide directorial support by preparing and hosting weekly staff meetings
  • Maintain daily logs for performance assessment and tracking verification.
  • Maintain attendance tracking for associates
  • Support all associates regarding payroll questions of processes and time clock management
  • Ensure POs are entered into the system and distribute with expected ship date
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education/Training/Experience:
  • High school education or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • Min of One (1) year of Customer Service experience
  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience required.
  • Background in Home Improvement experience helpful
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be flexible to adjust work schedule to meet needs of department.
  • Ability to work well with numbers, measurements and dimensions
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience with CAD programs helpful Role specific abilities/skills
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in 10-key and data entry
  • Ability to be a team player and maintain a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal communication needed for internal clients at all levels, as well as vendors and fabricators
