The Credit Specialist reviews and processes the credit review queue to resolve lender counter offers/declines which were generated due to non-qualification of lender matrix, fraud alerts, consumer statements and address re-verifications. This position determines if credit application and applicant credit bureau results meet basic third party lender policy and criteria and redirect application to appropriate lender.

  • Gathers related documents and send to lenders for payment as installed jobs are released back to Credit
  • Reviews applicant financing options and determine qualifications to procure full sale amount.
  • Analyzes and performs basic underwriting skills by processing applications for installment loans.
  • Contacts and verifies sources such as credit bureaus, netronline and public records to confirm applicant property ownership, verify liabilities and credit information.
  • Obtains installment loan stipulations from applicant as required by lender.
  • Provides world class customer service and maintains strong rapport with Members, sales project consultants and branch personnel.
  • Educates and informs sales project consultants and Members of loan programs, rates, policies and loan procedures achieved through consistent, open communication.
  • Prepares reports and/or records as requested by Credit Call Center Management.
  • Works cohesively with Team Leads to resolve credit issues of existing pending applications.
  • Assists as needed in overflow frontline Credit Call Center calls.
  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as required

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of frequent sitting and some standing and walking, with bending and reaching as necessary.
  • Ability to demonstrate self control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations.
  • All employees/associates may in the course of their duties come in contact with Credit / Debit Card Data. If this data is exposed as part of their position in the site/center, the associate must protect that data as directed and required by the compliance team to ensure SHC s compliance to current Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-4 years of related experience
  • 18 years of age or older
