JOB SUMMARY:
Assists the Store General Manager in ensuring the Consultative Sales Leads understand their daily assigned tasks and are properly trained. Provides support to the Store General Manager in the overall development of these associates. Responsible for direct selling to our Members and executing other merchandising and operational processes that support the whole store.
JOB SCOPE:
Assist the Store General Manager with Consultative Sales Lead training, their overall development, and communicating/completing daily tasks; participates in direct selling to Members, driving sales through community outreach, and all other merchandising/ operational activities.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads by example in delivering a WOW member experience every time and provides the highest degree of service by making the Member the first priority
- Models the right behaviors in the selling process and takes ownership for understanding Member's needs to recommend the right merchandise - and total - solution every time while meeting minimum performance expectations
- Assists the Store General Manager in communicating expectations, developing knowledge and skills in order to provide feedback to Consultative Sales Leads. Assists the Store General Manager with monitoring performance of associates relative to expectations, and ensures Leads are delivering the right Member Experience
- Responsible for conducting Community Outreach through initiating local opportunities that are customized to their community in order to drive incremental sales including outreach through social media, event organization and in-store event execution. Ensures/validates interactions and social media postings adhere to the community outreach guidelines and only completes outreach while on company time
- Acts as a resource to help the Store General Manager identify and resolve gaps in processes, efficiencies, and member experiences. Performs merchandise support tasks (e.g., cleaning, straightening merchandise) during each work shift. Responsible for keeping the whole store ready all day and night and ensuring the sales floor is easy to shop, in stock, clean, signed and organized for customers.
- Monitors performance of Consultative Sales Leads relative to expectations, and ensures associates are delivering the right Member experience and understand how to improve. Provides the Store General Manager with feedback on Leads, and provides the Manager with input on action plans, coaching and performance reviews.
- Performs opening and closing procedures as appropriate, consistent with current procedures. Assists the Store General Manager with ensuring Consultative Sale Leads are trained and understand the procedures prior to being assigned to opening and closing duties.
- Collaborates with the Store General Manager to leverage reporting to analyze associate level metrics to ensure stores sales goals/ targets are being met.
- Maintains thorough knowledge and effectively communicates to team on promotions, product, selling process, and company/ business initiatives.
- Assists Consultative Sales Leads when they are not meeting standards, as well as the ability to act as a Lead when member needs require.
- Maintains on-going knowledge of applicable National Presentation Standards, store merchandise, integrated retail, SYW, and operational processes. Achieves and maintains appropriate levels of learning standards through Inspired to Learn and other learning systems/materials.
