Provides World Class Customer Service by surprising and delighting our customers every day. Ensure execution of corporate merchandising, operations and human resources programs in your area of responsibility. Coach your business group within the store to maximize sales, service and profitability. Meets replenishment, layout and store maintenance requirements to ensure customer service with a well-stocked and clean store. Trains associates to maintain service standards, associate care initiatives, efficient operating conditions and ensure in-stock position.

Job Requirements

•Assists Store Manager in managing the store including establishing priorities, following up to assigned tasks and supervising store associates
•Follows the weekly Playbook and tour process to develop and prioritize action plans with timely follow up
•Focuses and invests time on customer facing activities including selling and operational support processes to improve the end to end customer experience
•Ensures the department is Location Certified and every associate is Role Certified to do his/her job
•Monitors and proactively addresses outliers, e.g.; customer satisfaction, sales, controllable costs, profit, margin, operational processes, and compliance as measured by appropriate outlier report scorecard/dashboard
•Executes and supports the business unit s plan utilizing outlier reporting, scorecards and standardized reporting
•Responsible for maximizing sales in jewelry, electronics, pharmacy, seasonal impact, sporting goods, garden, and restaurant departments by implementing, monitoring and adjusting work methods, processes in order to maintain profitable and efficient operations
•Understands the store's financials including Profit and Loss (P&L) and Store Performance Summary Gathers, shares and interprets information with his/her team
•Follows up on all asset protection procedures to reduce invisible waste and control expenses
•Responsible for all event planning (ROTO, ROP, Savings Guide, In-Store events, KAP events, Road Shows, Vendor events and parking lot promotions
•Trains associates on customer programs such as smart plans, Sears credit card applications and Shop Your Way Rewards (SYWR)
•Provides direction and disciplines needed to ensure effective execution of corporate merchandising and sales programs, maintaining unit and pricing integrity and an in stock position to maximize sales and profitability
•Provides Store Manager with fact based, real time feedback on opportunities and solutions that will support the business units in meeting/exceeding profit plans
•Consistently provides a sense of urgency to maintain standards while obtaining associate buy-in
•Reviews and executes communications on a daily basis
•Maintains a safe and clean working and shopping environment
•Performs supervisory responsibilities, including, but not limited to: making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting, and terminating; conducting performance appraisals; and coaching, training, setting goals and developing associates

•High school diploma or equivalent
•1-2 years of related experience
•18 years of age or older

•Extensive knowledge of store merchandising and retail management practices and procedures
•Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of internal and external associates
•Analytical ability necessary to gather and interpret information and then implement developed and approved solutions
•Strong organizational skills necessary to receive disseminate, and follow-up to corporate information flow
•Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach, delegate, prioritize and plan
•Ability to work during critical retail time frames including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, overnight or other event-related times
•Proven ability to manage and mentor team members, lead and influence cross-functional working groups and achieve results
•Microsoft Office computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook

•Minimum of two (2) years retail experience or preferred equivalent
•Experience leading groups across multiple departments
•Bachelor's degree
