The Assistant Paralegal provides support to other paralegals and counsel on projects and highly complex legal matters. This position effectively communicates the status of projects and case assignments. This position analyzes and summarizes documents and factual information, presenting results in a logical manner. This position is an effective collaborator both within and outside the department.

Job Requirements

• Summarizes all types of records and documents
• Communicates effectively with internal associates, counsel, business partners, and third parties
• Assists with procedural issues under direction of counsel
• Maintains practice area specific files and records
• Performs other duties as assigned

REQURIED SKILLS:
  • Must be able to perform assigned tasks with limited supervision and effectively report or log results.
  • Should have a general understanding of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Proficient technical skills, i.e., the ability to use job required technology depending on practice area
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively proof and edit legal documents • Attention to detail
  • Team player with ability to build strong relationships and work cross-functionally in a complex organizational structure
  • Strong legal research skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and mindset to face challenges with optimism

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 2- Year College Degree
• 2-4 years of related experience
