Retail Management Internship

Gain hands-on management experience right where the action is: learning retail sales, customer service and merchandise-related skills. This 10-week assignment is designed to give you a feel for the retail industry and the unique culture of Sears, one of the nation’s largest and most successful retailers.

Asset & Profit Protection Internship

The SHC Asset and Profit Protection Internship is designed to develop talented college students into high-performing mangers and leaders, as they are introduced to the Asset & Profit Protection field. The program focuses on building blocks critical to leadership development, including: In-Store Rotations, Mentor Relationship, Structured Development and Networking Opportunities. Upon completion, many Asset Protection management opportunities will be available to you, with career pathing options including Zone Asset Protection Manager within 3-4 years.

Undergraduate Programs

Business Analyst Program

The Business Analyst (BA) Program at Sears Holdings Corporation program provides exposure to Senior Leadership, growth opportunities, career and personal branding exercises, and networking events. As a participant, you will benefit from the mentorship and direct leadership of a dedicated business unit director; quickly lead projects within your assigned business unit; and become an integral part of our continuing transformation and future success.

Buyer Apprentice Program

Our Buyer Apprentice Program (BAP) aims to jumpstart your career on the buying track, with program graduates advancing to become assistant buyers. During this 6-month training program within a buying team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience reporting to a Buyer in one of our many category areas, and receiving mentoring to develop into a well-rounded role as a future Buyer. As a participant, you will engage in learning opportunities including team meetings, field trips, guest speaks, and various assignments/projects to help you better conceptualize and develop competencies in your role.

Finance Development Program

Our Finance group plays a critical role in our ability to successfully and accurately forecast and then implement plans for our business. The Finance Development Program is an excellent introduction to Sears Holdings Corporation’s many business units and financial processes, and serves as an entry point into one of our several finance teams, which include: FP&A, Treasury, Merchandise, Marketing, Financial Services, etc.

As a participant, you will work together and with business unit leaders to help determine the financial integrity of plans. You’ll also reach out to other business leaders to support the planning process, provide analytical support, analyze economic indicators and view outcomes at both a macro and micro level. Full-time and internship opportunities are available.

Technology Undergraduate Development Program –  [Full-Time Summer & Part-Time, Year Round Internships]

Sears Holdings Technology is focused on creating a talented, innovative, entrepreneurial pipeline of new technologists. In partnership with the University of Florida, we have created a year-round experience for undergraduate students including near campus, part-time employment during the school year, and full-time employment during the summer. Unlike co-op programs the TUDP does not require students to delay their graduation to obtain valuable work experience. Instead, students have the opportunity to acquire practical hands-on experience with emerging and proven technologies, while pursuing their academic studies.

Technology@Sears (T@S) 

Sears Holdings is focused on hiring the best and brightest talent, and rapidly developing this talent into our future business and technology leaders through accelerated career paths and challenging, rewarding opportunities.

The T@S program provides valuable exposure to the operational and strategic challenges facing the retail industry, Sears Holdings Corporation, and our Information Technology Business. Members are hired as ‘cohorts’ and are champions of innovation initiatives, entrepreneurial thinkers and catalysts of change.

This program is designed to recruit highly-talented, innovative and motivated undergraduate, graduate and PhD level technology-focused candidates from top universities and technical programs. As a participant, you will manage high-priority and high-potential initiatives from inception to execution across our Information Technology Businesses, which help lead the strategic efforts of the company. Additionally, you will benefits from professional development through various activities, Executive sponsorship by the CIO and Senior Vice President, unique mentorship opportunities and leadership discussions.

MBA Internship Program 

Opportunities exist for top-talent Masters/MBA students to join Sears Holdings Corporation (SHC), in a variety of business units and areas of discipline, including: Finance, Home Services, Inventory Management, Marketing, Pricing and more.

The MBA Internship is a 10-week program for Masters/MBA students looking to make an immediate impact within a specific business unit. The program is designed to develop strong potential leaders, and accelerate your career development into a full-time role with SHC, as you and establish the skill sets needed for rapid career growth. As a participant, you will benefit from unique career development and networking opportunities, exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional cohorts, attendance at our executive-sponsored Summer Intern Conference, and real-time application of academics to your assigned business unit.

Senior Leadership Program
